Steel Laboratory Bench System: Modular Industrial Workstation for High-Performance Scientific Environments

Luoyang Youken Laboratory Equipment Co., Ltd. delivers enterprise-grade Steel Laboratory Bench System solutions engineered for demanding scientific facilities worldwide. All systems are produced in our 30,000 m2 ISO-certified manufacturing facility, and are made of sturdy 1.00 mm cold-rolled steel with an electrostatic epoxy powder coating that guaranties excellent chemical resistance and structural integrity. Our product is suitable for static loads above 400 kg per linear metre and modular designs are in accordance with CE, ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards. Our Team of 100 skilled engineers offer unique configurations featuring solid core chemical resistant or ceramic work surfaces, integrated utilities and adaptable layouts for pharmaceutical, research, educational and industrial labs.

Why Choose All-Steel Construction for Laboratory Workstations

Harsh chemical exposure and large equipment loads are beyond the capabilities of standard lab furniture. It tackles those important issues by being made entirely of metal to avoid the moisture absorption, warping and microbiological development that plague wood-based products.

The cold rolled steel frame has 1.00 mm thickness for excellent dimensional stability. Electrostatic epoxy powder coating provides a non-porous barrier against strong acids, alkalis and organic solvents. This finish holds up to vigorous cleaning techniques everyday, including bleach-based disinfectants and quaternary ammonium chemicals.

Fire resistance of course is better than composite materials. Steel constructions are rated Class A for fire without any flame-retardant treatment. The smooth and seamless surface design doesn’t allow for particle collection and can be thoroughly decontaminated which is critical to GMP compliance surroundings.

Steel Laboratory Bench System

Modular Design for Scalable Laboratory Configurations

Modern research facilities require flexible infrastructure that adapts to evolving workflows. Our modular Steel Laboratory Bench System utilizes standardized cabinet widths that combine seamlessly to create workstations from 900 mm to multi-meter spans.

Structural options: C-frame and H-frame to accommodate diverse operating requirements. C-frame layouts provide maximum knee clearance for sitting microscopy and documentation. H-frame designs disperse weight across larger footprints, making them excellent for analytical balances, spectrophotometers and centrifuges.

Adjustable shelf in cabinet interiors, 50 mm increments. Sliding drawer systems are equipped with full extension ball bearing guides certified for more than 10,000 cycles. Doors are equipped with European-style hidden hinges that open to 120 degrees for unimpeded access in small aisles.

Industry standard utility integration is used. Standard 50 mm grommets fit into pre-drilled cable management ports. Plumbing chases include water supply, drainage, gas lines and vacuum systems. Both surface mounted power strips and flush installed outlet boxes are provided for electrically.

Advanced Features of Durability and Surface Treatment

The epoxy powder coating technique consists of a multi-stage phosphate preparation, electrostatic application and high-temperature cure. This gives a coating thickness of 60-80 microns, outperforming ordinary liquid paint.

Chemical Resistance Testing Chemical resistance tests indicate 24 hour exposure to 98% sulfuric acid, 30% HCl, 40% NaOH and typical organic solvents such as acetone, ethanol and hexane. The surface hardness is 2H on the pencil scale and will not be scratched by normal movement of the equipment.

The coating offers excellent UV resilience with little colour change after 1000+ hours accelerated weathering. This characteristic preserves the aesthetics of the laboratory whether the laboratory is equipped with natural illumination or near-UV sterilisation equipment.

ASTM B117 salt spray testing shows corrosion resistance more than 500 hours, with no base metal exposure. Edge sealing methods prevent moisture from intruding at joints and seams – important for coastal buildings or humid tropical areas.

Worktop Materials Engineered for Chemical Applications

Phenolic resin worktops offer economical chemical resistance suitable for general chemistry and biological work. The 12.7-25 mm thick composite withstands temperatures to 135°C and provides moderate impact resistance.

Epoxy resin surfaces deliver enhanced performance for concentrated acid/base applications. The non-porous matrix prevents reagent absorption and supports hot plate operations up to 180°C. Black color options reduce glare under microscopy lighting.

Ceramic worktops provide the ultimate chemical and thermal resistance. Fired at 1280°C, these surfaces withstand direct flame contact and aggressive fluorinated compounds. The dense structure eliminates all porosity for absolute contamination control in trace analysis environments.

Stainless steel integration is available for wet chemistry applications requiring drainage grooves or welded sink bowls. Type 316L material specification ensures compatibility with chloride-containing solutions.

Integrated Safety and Ergonomic Enhancements

Laboratory safety extends beyond chemical containment to daily user protection. Rounded worktop edges eliminate injury risks during rush workflows. Cabinet toe kicks provide comfortable standing positions that reduce fatigue during extended procedures.

Optional features such as reagent shelves with safety glass barriers, pegboard backsplashes for organising tools, and overhead service carriers for suspended utilities are also offered. These add-ons keep work surfaces free, but still provide access to equipment.

Sink kits have PP drip cups and drain fittings to match laboratory grade plumbing systems. Faucet mounting: Swing-spout, gooseneck or vacuum breaker. Gas outlet panels are supplied with quick-connect connectors for Bunsen burners, special detectors, or pneumatic controllers.

Electrical integration supports international voltage standards with socket configurations per project specifications. GFCI protection and isolated ground provisions ensure compliance with electrical safety codes.

Customization Process and Project Support

Our engineers will translate your space needs into effective lab design. Provide room measurements, utility hook-up locations, and process diagrams. We provide CAD designs with the equipment layout, circulation pathways, and compliance with ergonomic standards.

Materials will be selected according to your own applications. Pharmaceutical QC laboratories benefit from sealed structure and stainless accents. Educational buildings are built for durability and cost efficiency. Research institutions need the most flexibility in terms of changing experimental sets.

Colour customisation is more than just aesthetics, it's environmental psychology. Neutral colours help to alleviate eye strain. Accent colours serve to distinguish functional regions, such as blue for general chemistry, yellow for flammable storage facilities.

Production duration is 20-40 days depending on order complexity and current backlog in production. Knock down shipping minimises freight costs, and allows for entry via normal entrances. Installation assistance includes assembly instructions, fastener kits and technical consulting.
